Langbeinite

Potassium Sulfur Magnesium

NPK = 0 - 0 - 20

Langbeinite is a naturally occurring mineral with a neutral pH.

It has 3 essential nutrients, potassium which is important for CO2 uptake, magnesium, which is essential for the development of chlorophyll and sulphur which is key to enzymatic reactions. Its low chlorine content is unlikely to burn plants and is perfect for mixing into a solution or adding directly to the soil.

Langbeinite slowly dissolves in water, giving you a slow release of it's three main chemicals, and unlike other sources of magnesium won't affect the pH of your soil.

Be mindful that the magnesium component of Langbeinite is more soluble than the calcium or potassium

Recommended Usage:

Vegetable Gardens & Flower Beds:
  • To prepare new gardens, apply 50–100g/m2 and thoroughly mix into the top 75mm of soil. To feed established plants, side dress 1-2Tbsp per plant, depending on size of plant, once each month during the growing season.
Containers:
  • For new plantings, mix 3/4cup in 50L of soil and mix thoroughly, OR, add 650g–1300g/m3 = 2 3/4cup–5 1/2cup.
  • For established plants, lightly mix 2.5-5tsp per 10L soil into the surface once each month during the growing season.
Trees & Shrubs:
  • Spread 1/2-1lb per 1” of trunk diameter (1-2cups) around the base outwards to the drip line, mix into soil surface and water in well. For new trees, prepare a transplant hole and mix 1/4–1/2cup with the backfill soil (60g–120g). Use amended soil to fill in around the new tree and water in well.
Row Crops/Acreage:
  • Apply 200-500lbs per acre depending on soil analysis, research data or specific crop needs (20g–60g/m2).
