Seacliff Organics Artisanal Shed Blend

A general organic fertiliser blend of meals, kelp, soft rock phosphate, langbeinite, gypsum, oyster shell and rock dust, with a laboratory tested NPK. It suits a wide range of crops in garden beds, no-till plots and potting mix.

What it is

A dry blend made by Seacliff Organics in Otago. It contains Acadian kelp meal, karanja meal, neem meal, fish bone meal, flax seed meal, fish meal, langbeinite, 2 row malted barley, colloidal soft rock phosphate, ultra paramagnetic andesite, gypsum, oyster shell flour and amino acids.

What it does

• Nitrogen from fish meal, fish bone meal, karanja, neem and flax meals, released over weeks as soil life breaks the meals down, plus a fast share from amino acids.
• Phosphorus and calcium from fish bone meal, soft rock phosphate, oyster shell and gypsum.
• Potassium, magnesium and sulphur from langbeinite and gypsum.
• Kelp, malted barley and rock dust for trace elements and the soil biology.
• The ingredients break down at different speeds, so one application feeds over a season rather than all at once.

• Nitrogen (N) 3.5%
• Phosphorus (P) 3.7% (P₂O₅ 8.5%)
• Potassium (K) 1.9% (K₂O 2.3%)
• Sulphur (S) 2.6%

How to use

• Do not over cook your soil by over application. Start low and top dress as required.
• General garden: apply 1/4 to 1 cup per plant, or 0.5 to 2 cups per square metre. Best mixed with compost at 1:1 to 1:1.5 and scratched into the first few centimetres of topsoil, then mulched for no-till, or dug through the soil with compost.
• Potting mix: amend at 3 to 6 cups per 50 litres.

Handling and storage

• Wear a mask to avoid inhaling particles and open in a well ventilated area.
