Micronised Whole Leaf Aloe Powder
Micronised whole leaf aloe vera powder (Aloe barbadensis), sun dried and 100% aloe. Growers use it as a soak and dip for cuttings, as a seed soak, and as a mild foliar spray or drench in vegetative growth.

What it is
Whole leaf aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis), sun dried and milled to a fine powder. It is 100% aloe with nothing added. Because it is whole leaf it includes the outer leaf as well as the inner gel.
What it does
- A rooting aid for cuttings. In the one trial we found that measured it (tea cuttings over 120 days), cuttings soaked in aloe gel grew longer roots, mostly in soil based media. A synthetic auxin (IBA) still rooted more cuttings. Aloe is a gentle aid, not a rooting hormone.
- Growers use it in place of synthetic rooting gels in organic growing, and as a seed soak before sowing.
- The label lists polysaccharides, saponins, enzymes and amino acids. The rooting trial did not measure those; it measured the roots.
How to use
- 1 g of aloe powder is about 1 teaspoon.
- Mix 1 g per litre of water to make an aloe solution and strain it through cheesecloth.
- Foliar spray: apply at 1 L per square metre.
- Soil drench: use the same solution on vegetative plants.
- Seed soak: up to 12 hours.
- Cuttings: soak for up to 12 hours, then dip in a thick paste of aloe powder and water and put straight into your cloning medium.
